UNIBIOCHEM is strongly committed to your right to privacy. Generally, we collect identifiable information only when it is provided by a visitor to our Web site (the "Site"). Because we recognize that your personal information is valuable, we take all reasonable measures to protect your information while it is in our care.

Data Collection

UNIBIOCHEM collects personally identifiable information only when it is specifically and voluntarily provided by visitors to the Site, typically when a visitor inquires for further information, requests materials or submits a resume. Identifying information may include data such as names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers and, if visitors send e-mails to UNIBIOCHEM through the Site, usernames, e-mail addresses and any additional information included in the message. It is our policy to limit the information we collect to the minimum required to complete a visitor's request. We make every practical effort to avoid excessive or irrelevant collection of data. If you believe we have collected excessive information through the Site, please contact us to discuss your concerns.

We do not intend to seek any sensitive information through the Site unless legally required. Sensitive information includes various kinds of data relating to race or national or ethnic origin, political opinion, religious or similar beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health or disability, sexual orientation or criminal record. We suggest that you do not provide sensitive information of this nature. If you do wish to provide sensitive information for any reason, UNIBIOCHEM accepts your explicit consent to use that information in the ways described in this privacy statement.

Visitors are not required to register to gain access to the Site. In the future, we may require visitors to register in order to obtain a user ID and password for authentication and secure access to certain investor information or confidential or proprietary information services.

Should visitors subsequently choose to unsubscribe from mailing lists or any registrations, we will provide instructions in the appropriate area of the Site. Alternatively, a visitor may contact our webmaster.

Use of Data

A user may choose to provide personal information to UNIBIOCHEM for a variety of reasons, including the following:

· Contacting us for further information or to request materials.
· Registering for events and conferences.
· Registering to join our mailing list.

We use identifying information we obtain through the Site only for the intended purpose stated at the time that the information is collected. Except with your permission or as described below under the heading "Third Parties," we do not share identifying data with any other nonaffiliated company.

Cookies and Log Files

We may use small text files called "cookies" on some pages of the Site to assist us in providing you with a more customized Site experience. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer. We may use cookies to alert us that a computer has previously accessed the Site, in order to bypass our introductory graphics sequence. In order to properly manage the Site, we may anonymously log information on our operational system and identify categories of visitors by data type, such as domains and browser types, or collect nonpersonal information about your web viewing habits while you navigate the Site, such as navigation trends, hits per page/per user and time allocation. These statistics are reported in the aggregate to our webmasters. This is to ensure that the Site presents the best web experience for visitors and remains an effective information resource.

We do not collect or compile personally identifying information for dissemination or sale to third parties for consumer marketing purposes, and we do not host mailings on behalf of third parties.

Third Party Links

For your convenience, the Site contains hypertext links to websites of other companies ("Hyperlinked Sites"). Hyperlinked Sites do not operate under our privacy practices, and when you go to Hyperlinked Sites, our privacy practices no longer apply. We encourage visitors to review each site's privacy policy before disclosing any personally identifiable information.

Data Retention

We do not retain all of the information we receive. Contact information for visitors (such as information generated though registration for access to areas on the Site) will be kept as long as the information is required to completely service the contact request or until a user requests that we delete that information, whichever comes first. Mailing list information and e-mails will be kept for only the period of time considered reasonable to facilitate the visitor's requests. Resumes are disposed of when they are either no longer under consideration or are considered out-of-date by our Human Resources department.

Access

Each visitor has the right of access to personal data they have submitted to UNIBIOCHEM through the Site. Inquiries about the accuracy of identifying information previously submitted to UNIBIOCHEM through the Site, or requests to have personal information removed from our records, should be directed contact us. When identifying information is submitted and retained, UNIBIOCHEM assumes responsibility for keeping an accurate record of the information once a visitor has verified the data. We do not assume responsibility for verifying the ongoing accuracy of the content of personal information. When practically possible, if we are informed that any personal data collected through the Site is no longer accurate, we will make appropriate corrections based on the updated information provided by the authenticated visitor.

Security

We have implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personal information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction.

We reserve the right to modify or amend this Privacy Statement at any time. To keep visitors informed, we will notify users of changes to our Privacy Statement by placing a prominent notice at the top of this Privacy Statement.
